Test M: Panic Alarm Input Circuit Open/Shorted To Power
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Lighting Control Module (LCM) 16-pin connector C2027. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between ground and LCM 16-pin connector C2027 terminal No. 14 (Red/Light Blue wire). See Figure . If any voltage exists, go to next step. If no voltage exists, go to step 3 .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect DDM 12-pin connector C518. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between ground and LCM connector C2027 terminal No. 14 (Red/Light Blue wire). See Figure . If any voltage exists, repair short to power in Red/Light Blue wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If no voltage exists, replace LCM.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect DDM 12-pin connector C518. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure resistance of Red/Light Blue wire between DDM connector C518 terminal No. 3 and LCM connector C2027 terminal No. 14. See Figure . Measure resistance between ground and DDM connector C518 terminal No. 3 (Red/Light Blue wire). See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms between DDM and LCM and greater than 10 k/ohms between DDM and ground, replace LCM. If resistance is 5 ohms or more between DDM and LCM and 10 k/ohms or less between DDM and ground, repair open/short in Red/Light Blue wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
