SYMPTOM CHART - TRANSAXLE COOLING

Condition	Possible Sources	Action
Transmission overheating	System leaks.	Refer to LEAKAGE INSPECTION
	Incorrect fluid level.	CHECK and ADJUST the fluid to the correct level.
	Fluid condition.	CHECK fluid condition.
	Incorrect fluid type.	Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
	Transaxle cooling system damaged, blocked, restricted or installed incorrectly.	CARRY OUT the transmission fluid cooler flow test. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID COOLER .
	Engine overheating.	Refer to ENGINE COOLING .
	Excessive vehicle or towing loads, severe vehicle use.	Refer to the vehicle owners manual for load and GVW/GCW information.
	Incorrect idle or performance	CARRY OUT on-board diagnostic. Refer to INTRODUCTION - CNG, FLEX-FUEL & GASOLINE .
	Internal transmission concerns.	REPAIR as necessary.
Fluid leak at the transmission in-tank cooler	Transmission fluid cooler-to-fluid cooler fitting.	Refer to the COMPONENT TEST .
