Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector and the air cleaner outlet pipe.
    1. Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
    2. Disconnect the air cleaner outlet pipe.

  3. Remove the two bolts and the MAF sensor.

  4. CAUTION: Do not tamper with the MAF sensing elements located in the airflow bypass. Tampering may result in failure.
    NOTE: The MAF sensor module and body are calibrated and installed as a unit.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
