Test Procedure

- O1 - CHECK THE ADVANCE TRAC®/IVD SWITCH
- Disconnect: Advance Trac®/IVD Switch C3208.
- Key in OFF position.
- Measure the resistance between Advance Trac®/IVD switch C3208-1 and C3208-4.
- Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
- Yes : GO to O2.
- No : INSTALL a new Advance Trac®/IVD switch. REFER to TRACTION CONTROL ACTUATOR in this section. TEST the system for normal operation.
- O2 - CHECK CIRCUIT 8-CF54 (WH/VT) FOR A SHORT TO POWER
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: ABS Module C135.
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between ABS module C135-38, circuit 8-CF54 (WH/VT), harness side, and ground.
- Is voltage present?
- Yes : REPAIR the circuit. REPEAT the self-test.
- No : GO to O3.
- O3 - CHECK CIRCUIT 31S-CF45 (BK/GN) FOR SHORT TO GROUND
- Key in OFF position.
- Measure the resistance between ABS module C135-13, circuit 31S-CF45 (BK/GN), harness side and ground.
- Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
- Yes : INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE in this section. REPEAT the self-test.
- No : REPAIR circuit 31S-CF45 (BK/GN). REPEAT the self-test.
