Test J: Speed Control Indicator Inoperative

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Ford Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: After making any repairs, retest system for proper operation.

Disconnect speed control servo/actuator harness connector C122. Speed control servo/actuator is located in left side of engine compartment. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Connect a 10-amp fused jumper wire between ground and speed control servo/actuator harness connector C122 terminal No. 1 (Orange/Light Blue wire). See Figure. Observe speed control indicator. If speed control indicator illuminates, replace speed control servo/actuator. See SPEED CONTROL SERVO/ACTUATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If speed control indicator does not illuminate, repair instrument cluster as necessary. See appropriate ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS - F150 Pickup article.
