Test B1309: Power Door Lock Circuit Shorted
- Check PID DD_LOCK - Select RAP module PID DD_LOCK. If PID DD_LOCK reads LOCK, go to step 3). If it does not read LOCK, go to next step.
- Check Driver Door Lock Input Switch - Read RAP module PID DD_LOCK. Press driver door lock switch to LOCK position. If PID DD_LOCK changes to LOCK, replace RAP module. Restore and retest system. If it does not read LOCK, repair open in Pink/Yellow wire circuit. Restore and retest system.
- Check GEM PID DD_LOCK - Select GEM PID DD_LOCK. If GEM PID DD_LOCK reads LOCK, see TEST B1309 in DOOR LOCKS - POWER article. If it does not read LOCK, go to next step.
- Check Pink/Yellow Wire Circuit For Short - Disconnect RAP module connector, located beneath instrument panel. With an ohmmeter, measure resistance of Pink/Yellow wire circuit between RAP module connector and ground. If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair short in Pink/Yellow wire circuit. Restore and retest system. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, replace RAP module. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Restore and retest system.
