Test G: Remote Anti-Theft Personality (Rap) Module Does Not Respond To NGS Tester

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect RAP module 26-pin connector C206 located behind center of instrument panel. Measure resistance of Light Blue/White wire between terminal No. 3 at RAP module connector C206 and terminal No. 7 at DLC. See Figure and Fig 1. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open Light Blue/White wire between RAP module connector and DLC. Repeat DATA LINK DIAGNOSTIC TEST under COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK DIAGNOSTICS to confirm repair.
  2. Inspect RAP module connector C206 for loose, damaged or corroded terminals. Repair connector as necessary. If connector is okay, replace RAP module. Repeat DATA LINK DIAGNOSTIC TEST under COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK DIAGNOSTICS to confirm repair.
