Pinpoint Test E - Wipers Will Not Park Properly

- Disconnect wiper motor connector. Check continuity of Black wire between wiper motor connector and ground. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Black wire.
- Turn ignition on. Turn wiper switch off. Measure voltage between Dark Green wire and Black wire at wiper motor connector. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Dark Green wire from fuse block.
- Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between Black/Pink wire and Dark Blue/Orange wire at wiper motor connector. Also, measure resistance between Yellow/Red wire and Red wire at wiper motor connector. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to step 5).
- Disconnect Wiper Control Module (WCM) connector. WCM is located behind instrument panel, to left of steering column. Measure resistance of Black/Pink wire, Dark Blue/Orange wire, Yellow/Red wire and Red wire between WCM connector and wiper motor connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or less in all wires, replace WCM. If continuity does not exist in any wire(s), repair open in appropriate wire(s). Retest system.
- Check wiper mounting arm, pivot shaft and linkage for damage and correct placement. If problem is found, repair as necessary. If no problem is found, replace wiper motor and retest system.
