System Does Not Disengage When Brakes Are Applied

  1. Check Stoplight Switch

    Perform test for STOPLIGHT SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTING. Replace switch if necessary. If switch is okay, go to next step.

  2. Check Stoplight Circuits

    Measure resistance of White/Green and White wires between servo and stoplight switch harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open wire.

  3. Check For Binding Servo Cable

    Remove servo cable from servo. Check for breaks or binding by pulling on cable ball slug. If throttle does not operate freely, check throttle plate operation. Replace cable if necessary. If cable is okay, replace servo assembly.
