Pinpoint Test C - SYS Does Not Disengage When Brakes Applied
NOTE:
On Probe, servo assembly is grounded through mounting bolts. When instructed to connect tester to pin No. 10, connect tester to chassis ground. Ensure mounting bolts are clean and tight.
Unplug servo connector. With brakes applied, measure voltage between ground and pin No. 4 at servo connector. See Figure . If battery voltage exists, replace servo. If battery voltage does not exist, replace brake switch, fuse, or repair open circuit. To check for binding of servo cable and linkage to throttle body, remove servo cable from servo. Check for breaks or binding by pulling on cable ball slug. Ensure throttle moves freely. Replace cable as necessary. If cable is okay, replace servo assembly.
