Blower Speed Controller

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1994 Mercury Sable, 1994 Lincoln Continental, and 1994 Ford Taurus. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Blower speed controller is located in the evaporator case, upstream of evaporator core. The controller converts low current signals from EATC control panel to a high current, variable ground feed to the blower motor. Blower motor speed is controlled by EATC control panel and blend door actuator position.

A delay function provides gradual increase or decrease in blower motor speeds. High-speed blower relay, integral with blower speed controller, gives maximum airflow in high blower position.

NOTE: DO NOT operate system with blower motor disconnected, or blower speed controller may be damaged.
