Control Assembly Test: Mustang

  1. Unplug connector from control assembly. Press ON button. Using a fused jumper wire, apply 12 volts to pin "J" (Brown/Light Blue wire on mating connector). Connect pin "G" (Black wire on mating connector) to ground. Indicator should light. Remove connections from switch.
  2. Connect ohmmeter between pins "B" and "D" (Purple/Orange and Gray/Light Blue wires on mating connector). Press ON button. Resistance should be zero. Press OFF button. Resistance should be infinite. Replace control assembly if test results are not as specified.
