Error Code 05 - Sunload Sensor

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Unplug wiring harness connectors at sunload sensor and control panel. Check wiring for continuity, shorts and opens. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of this article. Repair as necessary.
  2. Sensor is a photodiode and can be checked with an ohmmeter. With harness disconnected, there should be some resistance present across sensor terminals, depending on amount of light available. If resistance is 0 (zero), replace sensor.
