Pinpoint Test A5 - Solenoid Circuit Short
Leave control module and solenoid valve disconnected. Disconnect battery. Set VOM on 200K/ohm scale. Measure resistance between:
- Blue/Black wire in VAPS control module connector and chassis ground.
- Blue/Black wire and Blue/Green wire in VAPS control module connector.
- Blue/Green wire in VAPS control module connector and chassis ground.
- Blue/Green wire and Black/Green wire in VAPS control module connector.
If all resistances are more than 10K ohms, proceed to PINPOINT TEST Q1 through PINPOINT TEST Q7 . If resistances are NOT within specifications, repair wires in question between control module and solenoid for shorts to ground.
