8) Codes 81 & 82: Check Voltage of VPWR Circuit  Code 81 and 82 indicates voltage output for thermactor air solenoid did not change when activated. Possible causes for this fault are:

• Shorted or open circuits
• Solenoid resistance out of range
• Faulty ECA

Turn key on, leaving engine off. Set DVOM on 20-volt scale. Measure voltage between AM1 solenoid VPWR circuit and battery ground. Repeat test for AM2 solenoid. If either voltage reading is less than 10.5 volts, repair harness circuit open and repeat QUICK TEST. If both readings are greater than 10.5 volts, go to next step.
