Windshield Washer Inoperative
- If washer pump operates but no fluid sprays, check fluid level. Check for disconnected, kinked or clogged hoses and repair as necessary. If washer pump does not operate, turn ignition off. Disconnect washer motor connector. Using a 12-volt source, apply negative and positive to both terminals on motor. If motor does not operate, replace motor. If motor does operate proceed to next step.
- Turn ignition on. Check for 11-13 volts on BLU wire at wiper/washer switch connector. If specified voltage is not present, repair BLU wire between fuse panel and wiper/washer switch. If specified voltage is present, proceed to next step.
- Push washer switch on. Check for 11-13 volts on BLU/ORG wire at wiper/washer switch connector. If specified voltage is not present, replace wiper/washer switch. If specified voltage is present, proceed to next step.
- Check for continuity between ground and BLK wire at washer motor connector. If continuity is present, repair BLU/ORG wire between wiper/washer switch and washer motor. If continuity is not present, repair BLK wire between washer motor and ground.
