Description & Operation: Notes

Ford cruise control system consists of "ON-OFF", "SET-ACCEL", "COAST", and "RESUME" switches, servo assembly, speed control sensor, clutch position sensor switch (man. trans.), amplifier, wiring harness, vacuum dump valve, and vacuum hoses to connect components. Vehicles equipped with diesel engines incorporate a vacuum reservoir with an integrated check valve.

The switches are located in steering wheel spokes. The amplifier is located under instrument panel, and servo assembly is attached to engine intake manifold. The speed sensor is located on left side of dash panel.
