Idle Tracking Switch Test (Its) - (Code 68)

  1. Move throttle away from ISC motor shaft. Perform Key On - Engine Off Test. Check for code 68. If code 68 is present, go to next step. If code 68 is not present, proceed to RPM Test.
  2. Turn ignition off and wait 10 seconds. Disconnect ISC motor. Connect a jumper between pins 3 and 4. Perform Key On - Engine Off Test. Check for code 68. If code 68 is present, go to next step. If code 68 is not present, replace ISC motor and repeat Quick Test.

  3. Turn ignition off and wait 10 seconds. Disconnect processor and inspect both 60 pin connectors. Connect breakout box to harness. Leave processor disconnected. Measure continuity of pin 46 to circuit 359 and pin 28 to circuit 98. If either resistance is over 5 ohms, repair faulty circuit and repeat Quick Test. If both resistances are under 5 ohms, replace processor and repeat Quick Test.
