Forward Facing Camera (FFC) - The FFC is a component located behind the rear view mirror in contact with the windscreen. The FFC is a visual spectrum camera that helps determine the type of object detected by the ACC radar, located in front of the vehicle. FFC is the primary module for the Lane Departure Warning system. FFC transmits data to the ACC sensor over a dedicated CAN-C operating at 500 kbps.
The FFC also provides the input for the SMART BEAM headlight system.
