Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the EPS drivemotor in place in the steering gear.
  2. Install the EPS drive motor to steering gear mounting bolts and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Connect the wire harness connector to the steering angle sensor on the steering gear.
  4. Connect the wire harness connectors to the EPS drive motor.
  5. Install the front belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Install both front wheelhouse splash shields. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  8. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
