Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK CORRECT INSTALLATION OF SIDE IMPACT SENSOR, DRIVER SIDE, ON STRUT 
    1. Go to Key-OFF status.
    2. at least 1 minute.
    3. Ensure that the side impact sensor, driver side, on strut is correctly installed.

      Is the side impact sensor, driver side, on strut correctly installed?

      Yes 

      • Go to Step  2.

      No 

      • Correctly install the side impact sensor, driver side, on strut, then go to Step  2.
  2. CHECK FOR THE ERROR PERSISTENCE ON THE SIDE IMPACT SENSOR, DRIVER SIDE, ON STRUT 
    1. Connect the negative battery lead.
    2. Go to key-on condition (engine off or on).
    3. Perform the Airbag Module error deletion procedure.
    4. Check if the error is still present.

      Is the error still present?

      Yes 

      • Replace the side impact sensor, driver side, on strut.

      No 

      • End of diagnosis.
