Diagnosis & Repair Procedure

  1. Disconnect receiver harness connector. Receiver is located behind driver's side rear interior quarter panel. See Fig 1 . Set dome light switch to DOOR position.
    NOTE: Also see appropriate ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS wiring diagram under WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  2. Using DVOM, measure voltage between receiver harness connector terminal No. 11 and ground. See Fig 2 . If battery voltage does not exist, replace receiver. If battery voltage exists, inspect the following circuits:
    • Between dome light and ETACS ECU.
    • Between foot lights and ETACS ECU.
    • Between dome light and receiver.
    • Between foot lights and receiver.
    • Between receiver and ETACS ECU.
    • Fuse No. 8 in junction block.
    • Fuse No. 10 and 11 in PDC (Avenger and Sebring).
    • Fuse No. 11 and 12 in PDC (Talon).

See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair circuits as needed.
