Inspection Procedure No. 47 - Fuel Injector Control Circuit
NOTE:

- Access connectors on ECM. The ECM is located below instrument panel, in front of center console.
- Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect 26-pin ECM connector B-53 from ECM. Connect jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 38 (Blue/Green wire) on 16-pin ECM connector B-54 for operating MFI relay.
- Amperage should be checked at each fuel injector control circuit. Turn ignition on. Connect a 20-ohm resistor and ammeter between ground and terminals No. 1 (Green wire), No. 2 (Green/Yellow wire), No. 14 (Yellow/Black wire) and No. 15 (Green/Red wire) on 26-pin ECM connector B-53.
- If amperage is .35 amp or more, go to step 6). If amperage is less than .35 amp, check for defective terminals or connections at each fuel injector.
- If terminals or connections are defective, repair as necessary. If terminals and connections are okay, check for any other trouble symptoms. See TROUBLE SYMPTOM USAGE under TROUBLE SYMPTOMS. If no trouble symptom exists, check wiring harness between ECM and connector for fuel injector. Repair wiring harness as necessary.
- Check for defective terminals or connections on 26-pin ECM connector B-53. If terminals or connections are defective, repair as necessary. If terminals and connections are okay, check for any other trouble symptoms. See TROUBLE SYMPTOM USAGE under TROUBLE SYMPTOMS. If no trouble symptom exists, replace ECM.
