Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Does Not Operate

- Ensure Body Control Module (BCM) is ACTIVE ON THE BUS. Go to SYMPTOM ID TEST 1A.
- Using scan tool, select READ DTCs and look for NO POWER TO MODULE trouble code. If NO POWER TO MODULE trouble code is present, see appropriate VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS article.
- Check RKE transmitter battery voltage. If battery voltage is less than 3 volts, replace battery.
- Using scan tool, select PROGRAM RKE and reprogram RKE transmitter according to scan tool instructions. If RKE system still does not operate, replace BCM.
NOTE:
If vehicle is equipped with Remote Keyless Entry (RKE), there will be a RKE antenna terminal at back of BCM. Antenna connector will have a single White wire terminal above instrument panel 10-pin connector.
