Test TC-55C - Cruise Control Solenoid Circuits

NOTE:
Perform TEST TC-55B
before proceeding with this test. After each repair, perform TEST VER-4A
.
- Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on Powertrain Control Module (PCM) 60-pin connector terminal No. 53 (Light Green/Red wire). If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace PCM. If voltage is less than 10 volts, disconnect and inspect cruise control servo 4-pin connector.
- If connector is not okay, repair connector as necessary. If connector is okay, turn ignition off. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of cruise control servo connector terminal No. 3 (Light Green/Red wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Light Green/Red wire.
- If resistance is more than 5 ohms, using an external ohmmeter, check resistance of Light Green/Red wire between PCM connector terminal No. 53 and cruise control servo connector terminal No. 3. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace cruise control servo. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Light Green/Red wire.
