REMOVAL

Using a trim stick, separate the shifter bezel from instrument panel.

Disconnect the wire harness connectors.

2 - Shifter Screws
Remove the shifter screws and separate the shifter from the bezel.

INSTALLATION

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

NOTE: Make sure the shifter bezel retention tabs are in place on the bezel.

Tighten the shifter screws securely.
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
