Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the Park Assist Module (PAM) (1B) into the right body side between the quarter inner and outer panels.
  2. Reconnect the two wire harness connectors (2) to the PAM connector receptacles.
  3. Position the PAM within the body side cavity.
  4. Install and tighten the three screws (1a) that secure the PAM within the body side. Tighten the screws securely.
  5. Reinstall the trim onto the inside of the right quarter inner panel. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), reconnect the IBS connector.
    NOTE:

    If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
