Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor SCR 1/3

CAUTION:

The exhaust gas temperature sensor requires care when handling and installing. The exhaust gas temperature sensor is sensitive to knocks and bending. For this reason if the exhaust gas temperature sensor has been dropped, it must not be installed as damage to the sensor may have occurred. Do not remove from packaging until ready to install. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the exhaust gas temperature sensor.

  1. Install the exhaust temperature sensor (4) in the Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) and tighten to 45 N.m (33 ft. lbs.).

  2. Attach the exhaust temperature sensor wire harness (2) to heat shield retainers (1).

  3. Attach the exhaust temperature sensor connector (2) to bracket and connect the exhaust temperature sensor wire harness connector (1).
  4. Remove support and lower the vehicle.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
