TENSIONER, Engine Timing: Installation

  2. Install the timing chain tensioner (2). Tighten bolts (3) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Remove the Tensioner Pin (special tool #8514, Pins, Tensioner) (1).
  4. Install the lower timing cover. Refer to COVER(S), ENGINE TIMING, INSTALLATION  .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Start the engine and inspect for leaks.
