Module, Security Gateway (SGW): Installation

NOTE:

If a NEW  Security Gateway (SGW) module is being installed, use the diagnostic scan tool to flash the module. Failure to flash the module will leave the SGW module in a locked mode preventing SGW module operation.

  1. Install the SGW module.
  2. Connect the SGW wire harness connectors.
  3. Install the retaining bolts and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Install the radio. Refer to RADIO, INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  6. If a NEW  SGW module is installed, use the diagnostic scan tool to flash the SGW module.
