Engine Block: FLEXPLATE: Installation

CAUTION:

Do not use an impact socket or a thick walled socket when removing or installing the flexplate retaining bolts, damage to the crankshaft, internal engine or the transmission may occur.

  1. Install the flexplate onto the crankshaft and tighten bolts finger tight.
  2. Using the sequence shown, tighten bolts to 95 N.m (70 ft. lbs.).
  3. Install the transmission. Refer to INSTALLATION .
