Diagnostic Test
- TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
- Turn the ignition on.
- Using a scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
- Operate the Mirror Switch in all directions several times.
- Cycle the ignition from on to off three times.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Using a scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display DTC B1D0F-DRIVER MIRROR HORIZONTAL POSITION SENSOR INPUT CIRCUIT LOW?
Yes
- Go to 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Front Control (FCM) - Standard Procedure .
- TEST FOR A SHORTED OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Driver Outside Rearview Mirror connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Using a scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Operate the Mirror Switch in all directions several times.
- Cycle the ignition from on to off three times.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Using a scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display DTC B1D0F-DRIVER MIRROR HORIZONTAL POSITION SENSOR INPUT CIRCUIT LOW?
Yes
- Go to 3
No
- Replace the Driver Outside Rearview Mirror in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Front Control (FCM) - Standard Procedure .
- CHECK THE (P65) DRIVER MIRROR HORIZONTAL POSITION SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND

- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
- Measure the resistance between ground and the (P65) Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit in the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (P65) Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Front Control (FCM) - Standard Procedure .
No
- Go to 4
- CHECK THE (P65) DRIVER MIRROR HORIZONTAL POSITION SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (Z940) GROUND CIRCUIT

- Measure the resistance between the (P65) Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit and the (Z940) Ground circuit in the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (P65) Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit for a short to the (Z940) Ground circuit.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Front Control (FCM) - Standard Procedure .
No
- Go to 5
- Measure the resistance between the (P65) Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit and the (Z940) Ground circuit in the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
- CHECK THE (P65) DRIVER MIRROR HORIZONTAL POSITION SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (P69) DRIVER MIRROR SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT Fig 4: Checking Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal Circuit For Short To Driver Mirror Sensor Ground Circuit

- Measure the resistance between the (P65) Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit and the (P69) Driver Mirror Sensor Ground circuit in the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (P65) Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit for a short to the (P69) Driver Mirror Sensor Ground circuit.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Front Control (FCM) - Standard Procedure .
No
- Go to 6
- Measure the resistance between the (P65) Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit and the (P69) Driver Mirror Sensor Ground circuit in the Driver Door Module C2 connector.

- Measure the resistance between the (P65) Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit and the (C910) Driver Mirror Heater Return circuit in the Driver Outside Rearview Mirror connector.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (P65) Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit for a short to the (C910) Driver Mirror Heater Return circuit.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Front Control (FCM) - Standard Procedure .
No
- Replace the Driver Door Module (DDM) in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Front Control (FCM) - Standard Procedure .
- Measure the resistance between the (P65) Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit and the (C910) Driver Mirror Heater Return circuit in the Driver Outside Rearview Mirror connector.
