The seat belt switch (4) is a small, normally open, single pole, single throw, plunger (3) actuated, momentary switch. One seat belt switch is installed on the seat belt retractor frame (2) over the retractor spool (1) for each outboard front seat. The seat belt switch includes an integral connector that is connected to the vehicle electrical system through a take out and connector of the body wire harness.

The seat belt switch cannot be adjusted or repaired and, if faulty or damaged, the entire front seat belt and retractor unit must be replaced.
