Testing:
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Washer Fluid Level Switch harness connector. Connect a jumper wire across Washer Fluid Level Switch harness connector terminals. Turn ignition on. Wait approximately 30 seconds. Does Low Washer Fluid indicator illuminate? If yes, replace Washer Fluid Level Switch. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS. If no, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12 volts, probe Washer Fluid Level Switch harness connector terminal No. 1. Does test light illuminate brightly? If yes, go to next step. If no, repair open in Ground circuit. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Disconnect Instrument Cluster C2 harness connector. Measure resistance between Instrument Cluster C2 harness connector terminal No. 2 and Washer Fluid Level Switch harness connector terminal No. 2. Is resistance more than 5 ohms? If yes, repair open in Washer Fluid Switch Sense circuit. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS. If no, replace Instrument Cluster. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
