Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located below driver's side of instrument panel. See Figure . Turn ignition on with engine off. Using screen prompts on scan tool, clear DTC from PCM. DTCs may be cleared from PCM if PCM does not detect the recent malfunction during 40 warm-up cycles.
