Passenger Door Ajar Circuit Open

NOTE: On 4-door models, rear door and passenger door ajar sense circuit (Tan/Red wire) splice is located beneath base scuff plate of driver's door sill.

Access passenger's door ajar switch located in passenger's door ajar/latch assembly. Disconnect passenger's door ajar switch connector. Measure resistance between ground and Black/Light Green wire of passenger's door ajar switch connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Black/Light Green wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST .0
Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect Central Timer Module (CTM) connector C1. Using DVOM, measure resistance of Tan/Black wire between passenger's door ajar switch connector and CTM connector C1 terminal No. 15. If reading is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Tan/Black wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST . If reading is 5 ohms or less, go to next step.
Turn ignition switch to ON position. Disconnect driver's door ajar switch connector. Using a fused jumper wire, connect door ajar/latch switch connector Tan/Black wire terminal to ground. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If scan tool display reads PS DOOR AJAR SW state as CLOSED, replace passenger's door/ajar latch assembly. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST . If scan tool does not display passenger's door ajar switch state as CLOSED, go to next step.
Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Replace Central Timer Module (CTM). Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
