Instrument Cluster Test 16A - Seat Belt Switch Circuit Short To Ground

NOTE: Perform INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - BODY VERIFICATION TEST  .

While observing seat belt indicator, cycle key to OFF then ON position. If seat belt indicator is illuminated for 10 seconds, go to CHIME TEST 4B  . If seat belt indicator is not illuminated for 10 seconds, replace instrument cluster.
