Power Door Lock Test 3A - Left Front Door MUX Circuit Short To Ground
NOTE:
Perform POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 1B
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE
.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Clear trouble codes as needed. Turn ignition on. Wait 15 seconds. Using scan tool, read body control computer trouble codes (fault messages). If scan tool displays LT FRONT DOOR MUX CKT SHORT TO GND, go to next step. If scan tool does not display LT FRONT DOOR MUX CKT SHORT TO GND, system is currently operating correctly. Problem may be intermittent.
- Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector "B". BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure . Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal No. 45 (White/Dark Green wire) on connector "B". If resistance is 100 ohms or greater, replace BCM. If resistance is less than 100 ohms, repair White/Dark Green wire for short to ground.
