Power Door Lock Test 16A - All Doors Fail To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch
NOTE:
Perform POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 1A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE
.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Remove door unlock relay. See Figure in EXTERIOR LIGHT TEST 4A. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal "B" on door unlock relay. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace door unlock relay. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step.
- Access junction block connector "A". Do not disconnect connector. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, backprobe connector "A". Measure resistance on specified terminal. See UNLOCK RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUITS table. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair suspect output open circuit. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace junction block.
