Interior Light Test 4A - Courtesy Lights Inoperative With Dome Light Switch

NOTE: Perform INTERIOR LIGHT TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Rotate headlight switch to dome light position. Using scan tool, read dome lamp switch. If scan tool displays DOME LAMP SWITCH: CLOSED, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure in CHIME TEST 2A. If scan tool does not display DOME LAMP SWITCH: CLOSED, go to next step.
  2. Gain access to back of headlight switch. Do not disconnect connectors. Connect jumper wire between terminal No. 4 (Black/Light Blue wire) on 13-pin connector. If courtesy lights illuminate, replace headlight switch. If courtesy lights do not illuminate, go to next step.
  3. Access junction block connector "A". See Figure in CHIME TEST 2A. Connect jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 2 (Black/Light Blue wire) on connector "A". If courtesy lights illuminate, repair open Black/Light Blue wire. If courtesy lights do not illuminate, replace BCM.
