Fuel Injectors: Installation
- Place a new "O" ring on injector cap. New injector has new upper and lower "O" ring already installed. Apply a light coating of clean engine oil on "O" rings.
- Place assembly in pod, and align injector wiring terminals with injector cap fastener hole. See Fig 1. Install injector cap with locating notch aligned with locating lobe on injector.
- Push down on cap to ensure good seal. Rotate cap and injector to line up attachment hole. Install Torx screw and tighten to 35-45 INCH lbs. (4-5 N.m). Reconnect negative battery cable. Pressure test system for leaks. Reinstall air cleaner assembly.
