Intermittent Failures
Intermittent failures may cause CHECK ENGINE light to flicker or stay on until the intermittent trouble goes away. However, the corresponding trouble code will be retained in PCM memory. If related trouble does not reoccur within a certain time frame, related trouble code will be erased from PCM memory. Intermittent failures can be caused by trouble sensor, bad connector or wiring related problems. DRB will display key counter as one or more. See TEST NTC-1A in this article or INTERMITTENTS in TESTS W/O CODES - CNG article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
