Test 39E - Diagnosing No Chime With Turn Signals On

  1. Close all doors. If speedometer is not working properly, go to TEST 4A for Electronic Instrument Cluster, or TEST 10A for Electro/Mechanical Instrument Cluster. If speedometer is working properly, turn ignition switch to ON position. Ensure turn signals operate correctly. If turn signals operate correctly, go to next step. If turn signals do not operate correctly, check and repair system as necessary. Perform TEST VER-1A.
  2. Turn left turn signal on. Using DRB-II, read left turn signal status. If DRB-II does not display ON then OFF, go to TEST 39F. If DRB-II displays ON then OFF, turn right turn signal on. Using DRB-II, read right turn signal status. If DRB-II does not display ON then OFF, go to TEST 39G. If DRB-II displays ON then OFF, system is working properly at this time. Perform TEST VER-1.
