Sensor Test Mode

  1. The Sensor Test Mode allows the output of 7 sensors and the state of 3 switches to be displayed on the tester while the engine is not running. This provides a means by which the entire circuit for each individual sensor and switch can be checked, including the wiring and SMEC circuitry.
  2. Put system in Diagnostic Test Mode. Wait for code 55 to appear on DRB-II. Press "Read/Hold" key on DRB-II until "READ" is displayed. Press "F3" key to determine which Sensor Test is desired. To enter, press "Enter" key.
  3. Press "Read/Hold" key until "HOLD" is displayed. Since Sensor Test codes are the same as ATM Test codes, the ATM test circuit will turn on before "HOLD" appears on display.
  4. The SMEC will now use the DRB-II to display the output of the selected sensor. To select another Sensor Test, press "Read/Hold" key until "READ" is displayed. Press "F3" key to select another Sensor Test.
