Sensor Test Mode

  1. The senor test mode is used to read the output signal of specific sensors to the SMEC when the engine is not running. Sensors access codes are used to select specific sensors. This mode is also used to clear all fault codes from memory. Sensor codes are 2,digit codes similar to ATM codes. The diagnostic read, out box MUST be used for this test, "CHECK ENGINE" light does not function in this mode.
  2. To enter this mode, put system into ATM test mode. Press and hold "ATM" button until the desired sensor access code is displayed. Release button. Love "READ/HOLD" switch to "HOLD" position.
NOTE: Since sensor access codes are the same as some ATM test codes, the ATM circuit will turn on before moving the "READ/HOLD" switch to the "HOLD" position.
  3. The SMEC will use the diagnostic read, out box to display the output of the selected sensor. Divide all displayed readings except coolant sensor and battery voltage by 00 for actual reading. Multiply coolant sensor readings by 10 for actual readings. Battery voltage readings are actual and no correction is necessary.
