Brake/Speed Control Switch

  1. Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. Turn speed control switch to "ON" position. Connect a voltmeter between Blue/Red wire and ground and then between Yellow/Red wire and ground. Voltage should be 12 volts for both readings.
  2. If only one terminal has 12 volts, check adjustment of brake switch. If neither terminal has 12 volts, check speed control fuse. With positive lead of voltmeter connected to pin No. 4 of speed control module and brake pedal in its resting position, voltage should read less than .5 of a volt.
  3. With the brake pedal depressed, stop lights should illuminate and voltage should be 12 volts. If this does not occur, check brake light circuit fuse, brake lights, clutch switch and adjustment of the brake switch.
