Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

The molded plastic ball socket clips in the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) module mounting bracket are NOT replaceable and should not be removed. Any time the module is replaced the bracket and ball socket clips will be part of the assembly.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle.
  3. Remove the front lower fascia close out cover. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from the Adaptive Cruise Control module.
  5. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the ACC module bracket to the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) support bracket.
  6. Remove the ACC bracket with the ACC module through the front of the lower grille opening.
