Removal And Installation: Installation

NOTE:

The molded plastic ball socket clips in the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) module mounting bracket are NOT replaceable and should not be removed. Any time the module is replaced the bracket and ball socket clips will be part of the assembly.

  1. Position the ACC module with bracket to the vehicle for installation.

  2. Connect the wire harness connector (2) to the ACC module.
  3. Install and tighten the fasteners (1) that secure the mounting bracket to the support bar. Tighten the fasteners securely.
  4. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  5. Install the front fascia lower closeout panel. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  7. Using the scan tool, perform the ACC alignment procedure.
