Module, Park Assist (PAM): Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector before disconnecting the negative cable from the battery.
  2. Remove the trunk close out trim panel and the right quarter trim panel to access the Park Assist Module (PAM) (1). Refer to PANEL, TRUNK TRIM, REAR, REMOVAL .
  3. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (2) from the PAM.
  4. Remove the retainers (3) that secure the PAM to the quarter inner panel.
  5. Slide the PAM upward far enough to disengage the lower mounting tab from the stamped pocket in the right quarter inner panel.
  6. Remove the PAM from the vehicle.
