Module, Body Control: Removal: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable from the battery post/terminal.
  2. Remove the remote park release access panel.
  3. Remove the left sill and cowl panel. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the park brake release rod at the park brake, remove lever and rod. Refer to PEDAL, PARKING BRAKE, REMOVAL .
  5. Disconnect the park brake switch harness connector.
  6. Position the park brake assembly aside (3 nuts)

  7. Disconnect the harness connectors (5) and retainers at the BCM (2).

  8. Remove the two lower and two upper BCM bolts (3) to remove the BCM (2) from the bracket.
